Gamlen Tableting will be exhibiting at the Compaction Simulation Forum (CSF), Boston, USA, 20th-22nd June 2016.
In addition to presenting 2 posters at CSF 2016, delegates will also have the opportunity to learn more about the new Gamlen D series Dynamic Powder Compaction Analyzer and manufacturability protocol.
Users can now identify whether their material will compress to form a good tablet simply by manufacturing a small number of tablets on the D series and then using the instrument to measure the tablet breaking-load and thickness.
From this data, the Gamlen manufacturability protocol automatically calculates tabletability, compactability and compressibility. The D series instrument measures lubrication properties during both ejection and the detachment of the tablet. Elastic recovery and density are also measured as these factors are linked to capping behaviour.
